BurgerBusiness.com’s 3rd annual Burger Brackets are back for 2012 because March just isn’t Madness without them! Here’s how these brackets work:
◙ Once again 64 brands have been invited to play, representing a mix of big burger chains, small burger chains and indie burger joints.
◙ These 64 burger brands are divided among four brackets, named for four legendary burger pioneers: Dave Thomas (Wendy’s); Ray Kroc (McDonald’s); Jim McLamore (Burger King) and Carl Karcher (Carl’s Jr.). ◙ This year’s top seeds are last year’s Final Four: Blanc Burgers + Bottles (the reigning and two-time winner), In-N-Out Burger, Cheeseburger Bobby’s and Jake’s Wayback Burgers.
◙ How to vote: Vote for your favorite by adding a comment/leaving a reply at the bottom of this post. Just put the name of your favorite; send it. One burger brand per vote. Ballot stuffing (multiple votes under different names) is aggressively discouraged and votes disqualified where found.
◙ At the end of each round, prior votes are deleted and voting begins anew. So vote often!
◙ The schedule for Burger Brackets results is as follows (note that Round One is the play-in round. Ignore it):
Round two (64 teams) : ends March 16
Round of 3 (32 teams): ends March 18
Sweet 16: ends March 23
Elite 8: ends March 25
Final 4: ends March 31
Championship: April 2
