McD’s Plans New Snack Wrap for Canada Olympics

mcd_parmigianaMcDonald’s 1,400 Canadian units will celebrate the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games in various ways that include introduction of a new Parmigiana Chicken Snack Wrap.

The limited-time item—combining Parmesan cheese, marinara sauce and crispy or grilled chicken in a tortilla—will join the Canadian menu on Dec. 29. Canadian units in March 2009 were the first to try McDonald’s Mac Snack Wrap, which is now being introduced across the US. Coming Feb. 2 in Canada are two new dipping sauces for Chicken McNuggets: Spicy Szechwan and Zesty Mango. Already added to the Canadian menu earlier this month as part of the Olympic celebration were a Crème Brûlée Crunch McFlurry and S’mores Pie.

The Vancouver Games begin Feb. 12 and continue through Feb. 28. McDonald’s has featured Canadian figure skater Patrick Chan and others in Olympic-themed TV commercials this year.

Canada-only Happy Meal toys featuring Olympic mascots Miga, Quatchi and Sumi will be available beginning Jan. 29. Other programs include announcement of  the McDonald’s Olympic Champion Crew, who will staff the three on-site McD’s units, and McDonald’s Champion Kids (11 Canadian kids chosen as part of a global program to attend Olympic events).

I HAVE THE BEST IDEA… MCDONALDS SHOULD HAVE A TRIO SNACK PACK FOR OLYMPIC GAMES OR WORLD CUP OR WHATEVER THE BOTTOM LINE IS IT SHOULD BE LIKE A JUNIOR VERSION OF
    1. BIG MAC
    2. QUARTER POUNDER
    3. MC CHICKEN
ALL IN ONE PACKAGE… SINCE PEOPLE CAN NEVER DECIDE WHICH ONE THEY WANT. NOW THEY CAN GET A TASTE OF ALL 3…THE JUNIOR TRIO OF GOLD
