Valentine’s Day isn’t a burger sort of day. It may not even be a “day.” That may be why only Buckeye Beer Engine in Ohio is making hearts and roses the theme of its February burger special. What we have instead from many burger joints this month are a lot of Italian-inspired burgers on offer.
Both the Nook’s Badda Bing Burger and Slater’s 50/50’s Pizza Burger put Italian sausage into the grinder with the beef. Blue Moon Burger also has a Pizza Burger, this with “pepperoni crispies.”
A longtime friend of burgers, Emeril Lagasse, makes his debut on the Burger of the Month list with the All-American Breakfast Burger at his burger joint in the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pa.
